Belgium's Eclectic Musical Underground

Invisible Nation

Overlooked and often undervalued by its neighbours, Belgium is Europe's forgotten nation, an elusive ghost state hidden in the heart of the EU. But forget the weary stereotypes, the Belgian underground is a colourful, eclectic mash-up of musical and visual styles.

So... I went to the Nuits Botanique last tuesday, and I saw Malibu Stacy, and The Big Hat Band (as well as Babyshambles and Kill The Young, but since this thread is about belgian music I wont mention them ^^)!! Do I need to mention how good they were? No... They were AMAZING, really! I've been wanting to see Malibu Stacy for ages, and I can honestly say that they exceeded my expectations. I hadn't heard The Big Hat Band before, but they weren't bad either!!

Voila!!! =)

If you are interested in seeing the Babyshambles and Kill The Young photos, clic this link: http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y248/mrbrightside2/Nuits%20Botanique%202006/?start=0

Evening all.
I am new to this community, but not to dEUS; I have followed the boys across many borders, through many smoky bars and over quagmire festival fields since WCS made it’s debut.
I worried that moving to the Big Apple, the European bands I hold so dear wouldn’t venture across the Atlantic and I had conceded that as much as schedules and cheap airline companies will allow, if Mohammed won’t go to the mountain……
But Thursday night quelled my fears and I thought I would share it with you good people.
How were they?
